Douglas Workman
Douglas Workman is Werlpower's Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for all business aspects of the company, including strategic planning, contract management, and corporate governance. Mr. Workman graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce with a BS in Commerce, where he passed the CPA examination. He continued his education at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and has practiced as a business attorney throughout his career, bringing extensive legal and financial expertise to Werlpower's leadership.
John McClurkin
John McClurkin is Werlpower's Chief Technology Officer and the inventor of the company's patented hydro‑flywheel technology. He shepherded the innovation through the entire patent approval process. Mr. McClurkin graduated from the University of Virginia's Thornton School of Engineering with a BS in computer science and a minor in nuclear engineering. He has spent most of his career working in the defense industry for DOD contractors. His role at Werlpower is to supervise all aspects of product design, engineering, and construction.

Our strategic partners include engineering firms that design and construct wastewater treatment plants, enabling us to embed our hydro‑flywheel systems directly into new and retrofit WRRF projects. We also work closely with national design laboratories to validate performance, refine system architecture, and advance the state of the art in low‑head hydropower generation.
